Riesling vom Schloss

Riesling vom Schloss 2011

A fine, fruity acidity, combined with a rich array of elegant aromas make our Riesling a perfect match with food: Intense nose of apricot and peach combined with a cool mineral note. Delicious stone fruit on the palate.

Origin: The vineyards surrounding the castle, Pulkau valley

Soil: Deep sedimentary rock of marine origin with sand and a high amount of lime

Alc.: 13% • Acidity: 7.1 g/l • Residual sugar: 5.7 g/l

Healthy grapes only were hand-picked in mid-October and gently pressed after 12 hours of maceration. The self-clearing must was left to ferment slowly with wild yeast from the vineyard (spontaneous fermentation) in traditional, large wooden barrels in the perfect atmosphere provided in the estate cellar. The wine aged on its lees in wooden barrels for several months to build its distinctive character with deep aromas of fruit and elegance.

: 2013-2019

Food pairing

Excellent with antipasti, fish, shellfish and seafood, as well as white meat.
